19 February Class Review

This week was the first week of a 5 week course which sits 4th in a series of 6 modules called What Meditation Really Is. Over the first 3 modules, we learned how to practise mindfulness meditation to help to calm our minds and increase their stability. When we start learning to meditate, we all find our mind wanders, and we have to start again. We all face difficulties with meditation at times and starting over is actually a practice of loving kindness. This is the practice we will develop over the next four weeks. To give us a booster start, we contemplated that our core being is pure goodness, we all have love within us and we are all loveable. In short, we all have buddha nature. This is the basis for our self worth and self confidence, but without any arrogance. A good starting place.
